Aurora alert! NOAA forecasters estimate a 60% chance of polar geomagnetic storms today, Feb.23rd, when Earth enters a stream of fast-moving solar wind. The gaseous material is flowing from a hole in the sun's atmosphere, and is expected to buffet Earth's magnetic field for at least two days. Stay tuned!
