I am very fortunate that my passion for capturing the natural world through my camera has taken me to some incredible places around the world.

Having travelled to the African continent for the last 12 years, a continent that I have somewhat of an obsession with! Also my travels have taken me frequently to Canada and the Polar regions.

I spend the summer months leading photographic safaris with my wife Sarah Skinner to Kenya and Botswana. The autumn photographing the Grizzly bears during the salmon run in Canada, where I also co-lead tours and the winter period capturing the Aurous in Sweden, Iceland and Norway.

I can never tire of watching the aurora, as you never know what the ‘green lady’ is going to display. Every night will be different and looking for great locations to capture the beauty of the lights is what drives me each night to endure freezing cold temperatures.

My passion for photography has been recognised with images featured in various publications such as Travel Africa and BBC Wildlife Magazine. Just recently I have been incredibly lucky to feature as one of the 50 best wildlife photographers with an elephant image in the beautiful book ‘Remembering Elephants’, a global project raising vital funds for elephant conservation. My work has also been recognized this year in the ‘Natures Best Africa’ photographic competition with two images receiving awards.

I am looking forward to sharing my passion for capturing the Auroras this season with guests and being part of the Lights Over Lapland team.
