Dimitrios Roukounakis - Lights over Lapland AB

I am Dimitrios Roukounakis and I come from the land of light, Greece, my passion is all kinds of vehicles.

In the late 80’s and having finished high school and then an accounting college, I discovered that I am not an office person. So I took advantage of my love of vehicles and got all my driving licenses. My journey started from the beautiful Netherlands in the early 90’s until 2001 where I lived and worked as a professional driver there. In 2004 I started a beautiful family in Greece. Since then I have worked seasonally and during the winter season in 6 different countries (Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Netherlands again, Finland, Sweden). During the summers I work in my place of origin which is Crete, an island with more than 5 million visitors every year. In the past I had made an attempt to work in Norway on the northern lights. But this year, the wish came true. I live and work in Abisko. The village and the region in general is beautiful and I see the lights of Greece here too very strongly and almost every night. These lights where people come from every corner of the planet to photograph them.
