Experience the enchanting beauty of Kiruna's Arctic wilderness on our Winter Wonderland Dogsledding tour together with our friends at Sleddog Kiruna. Your adventure begins with a convenient hotel pick-up by your friendly guide, who will drive you to the kennel. The drive is approximately one and a half hours long, and provides beautiful Arctic scenery as you travel through the Torneträsk valley towards Kiruna. Upon arrival, you'll be provided with warm clothing to ensure your comfort throughout the journey. Next you will meet the playful and affectionate Alaskan huskies, who will greet you with enthusiasm. If you're up for it, you can join in harnessing the dogs, adding a hands-on touch to your experience. Once the dogs are ready, sit back and enjoy a silent and exciting ride through snow-covered pine and birch forests, and across frozen lakes whilst being driven in the sled by the experienced dogsledding guide.

The trail is approximately 15 KM in length and heads north towards the Rautas river valley, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. Midway through the tour, we’ll take a break at a traditional Sami tent where you can warm up by the fire with a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy a traditional Swedish fika. On clear days, you might even catch a glimpse of Sweden’s highest peak, Kebnekaise. There will be plenty of opportunities to take photos and play with our huskies, capturing memories that are sure to last a lifetime.

After the thrilling ride, your guide will offer you a tasty lunch in a cozy teepee. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, and once it concludes, you will head off back towards Abisko, ensuring a seamless and memorable adventure from start to finish. This activity takes place nearby Luossavaara, near Kiruna. Round trip transportation from Abisko & Björkliden is included.
You will share a sled with other people. We allow up to 4 people per sled.
The time on the sled is approximately 2 x 20-40 minutes but can be slightly shorter or longer depending on weather conditions.
Minimum age allowed for this activity is 4 years old.

Round trip transportation from your hotel in Abisko or Björkliden to the dogsledding camp near Kiruna.
Warm overalls, winter boots, hats and gloves.
Tasty lunch – vegetarian option available upon request. Must be requested ahead of time!
Warm drink and homebaked fika.

If you are staying in Björkliden the pickup time is 9:00 AM.

RETURN TIMES
Departing from Sleddog Kiruna 2:30 PM.
All guests returned to their hotels by 4:00 PM.
