With a career in the charity sector, working in addiction, mental health and neurology ending up in Abisko might not seem to be a natural next step.
However life has taught me that retirement is not guaranteed and that you should go on adventures while you can.
I love exploring nature in a range of ways including by horse back, jet ski, whitewater rafting, and discovered that living in harder to access parts of the world makes me happy. As a lover of the sunshine I was surprised when I fell in love with the Arctic, the stunning views, the light, the ever changing weather, seeing the wildlife – moose, reindeer, hares. I am hooked on the place!
