Originally I am from Austria but Sweden, specifically Lapland, has become my happy-place. I fell in love with it after I worked as an event photographer on music festivals around Europe.

I have studied photography in Vienna and started to work for a big camera-company, while building my own business. I specialized on events and loved to capture music performances in picture and video-form.

But one summer I came to northern Sweden to experience unique nature and hike the amazing trails starting in Abisko. Somehow I got stuck here and found a job for the season. What at first should have been a one-winter-adventure, became a second home to me. At the moment I cannot imagine living somewhere else. So I changed from exclusively event-photography and portraits to landscapes and documentary style photography.

Life In Abisko feels a lot simpler, but also more exciting than anywhere else. There is never a boring day or night in the arctic, especially when the northern lights are dancing above us.

In my opinion the Northern Lights are the closest thing to magic that we have here on earth. They are almost unpredictable, always different and breathtaking. Creating memories together with guests and being part of an experience they will never forget, is the reason why I love to be part of the “Lights over Lapland”-Team.
