A New Way to Experience the Anytime Aurora Adventure

Some places are just easy to settle into and we believe the Abisko Panorama House is one of them.

This autumn, we’re excited to introduce the Panorama House as a new accommodation option for our Autumn Anytime Aurora Adventure along with its winter version; the Anytime Aurora Adventure. And honestly, it might be one of the coziest ways to experience Abisko.

Instead of staying in a traditional hotel, the Panorama House gives you the chance to spread out, slow down, and experience life in the Arctic a little more like a local. Mornings with coffee overlooking Lake Torneträsk, evenings warming up beside the fire after an aurora tour, and late nights staring out the window hoping the northern lights decide to make another appearance. And with the panoramic windows facing north… they just might.

The View Is Kind of Ridiculous

We may be slightly biased, but we genuinely think the Panorama House has one of the best views in all of Abisko.

From the spacious living room and wraparound deck, you’re looking directly out across the Abisko Valley, the mountains, and Lake Torneträsk. The house faces north which also happens to be exactly where you want to look when the aurora shows up. So yes, technically it’s possible to watch the northern lights while sitting on the couch in your pajamas. No promises. But definitely possible.

More Space, More Freedom, More Cinnamon Buns

One of the things we love most about the Panorama House is the flexibility it gives guests.

Unlike a traditional hotel package, meals are not included with either the Autumn Anytime Aurora Adventure or the regular Anytime Aurora Adventure. That means you’re free to do things your own way.

Cook dinner together after a night out chasing the aurora. Try one of the local restaurants. Fill the kitchen with Swedish snacks and pastries from the nearby grocery store. Eat breakfast at noon because you stayed up watching the sky until 2 AM. This is your Arctic adventure and you set the schedule.

The fully equipped kitchen, large dining area, and cozy living room make the house feel less like accommodation and more like your own temporary home in Abisko.

Designed for Small Groups & Families

The Panorama House works especially well for families, couples travelling together, or a small group of friends who want a little extra space during their stay.

The house includes:

  • Two comfortable bedrooms
  • A spacious living and dining area
  • A fully equipped kitchen
  • A wood-burning fireplace
  • A private wood-fired sauna
  • A wraparound deck with panoramic views
  • Walking access to the train station, trails, and local shop

There’s room to spread out, unpack properly, and actually relax between adventures.

Why It Works So Well With our Anytime Aurora Adventures

The Anytime Aurora Adventure has always been about flexibility and maximizing your chances of seeing the northern lights.

Every evening, our guides choose the best viewing locations based on the weather and aurora forecast, meaning no two nights are ever exactly the same. One night might be spent beside a frozen lake, another near the mountains, and another gathered around a fire beneath a sky full of stars.

The Panorama House pairs perfectly with that experience because it gives you somewhere warm and comfortable to return to after each adventure.

Somewhere to upload your aurora photos, cook a late-night dinner, warm up beside the fire, and relive the evening while already hoping for stronger lights tomorrow.

It’s also worth noting that the Panorama House is available not only as part of our Anytime Aurora Adventures, but can also be booked as part of our 4-night 100% Private Aurora Escape. This option is ideal for guests looking for a more exclusive, tailored experience with dedicated guiding and a fully private setup. If you’d like more information on this package, we’re happy to share further details.

Your Home Base in the Arctic

We strongly believe there’s something special about having your own place in Abisko. Not just somewhere to sleep, but somewhere to actually experience the rhythm of Arctic life for a few days.

Wake up slowly. Watch the weather move across the mountains. Spend the afternoons in the sauna. Keep an eye on the sky from the living room windows. And if the aurora appears overhead unexpectedly? Just grab your jacket and step out onto the deck.

The Abisko Panorama House offers a different kind of northern lights experience, one that’s relaxed, personal, cozy, and incredibly scenic.

We have a feeling it’s going to become a guest favourite very quickly.
